Born from Necessity. Built on Momentum.

Get Granted was built on the belief that funding should never be the barrier between good ideas and real change.

Before Get Granted became a firm, it began as a mission. In her role as Executive Director of Tazewell Today, Amanda Hale was driven to help revitalize her own hometown in Southwest Virginia. Recognizing that small towns often have the ideas—but not the funding—she turned to grant writing as the solution.

She quickly learned how to navigate complex applications, communicate local needs with clarity, and win competitive awards. One of her earliest successes was securing a Main Street designation grant, laying the foundation for long-term economic and cultural revitalization in Tazewell.

That work didn’t just transform a town — it sparked a calling. What started as a local leadership role has grown into a strategic grant writing and consulting firm now known as Get Granted.

The People Behind the Proposals

Amanda Hale – Founder, Lead Grant Writer

I’m a grant writer, entrepreneur, and small-town revitalization advocate passionate about economic development and helping communities and local businesses thrive. Since 2018, I’ve secured over $16 million in awarded grants for organizations, towns, and businesses. Contributing to teams that have brought in over $50 million in funding.

My passion for revitalization is what launched this journey. I started writing grants out of necessity. Projects needed funding, and I was determined to find it. That drive hasn’t changed.

At Get Granted, we blend strategic thinking with deep community understanding. Whether you’re a nonprofit working toward social change, a town with a vision for growth, or a business with big potential, we can help you get the funding to move forward.
